UAO5 - Celebratory Goblet
Cylindrical Bavarian type goblet, decorated by five manually shaped threads horizontally twined around the surface. Enamel paintings represents the scenes of festive procession organized to celebrate the christening of the son of one of the Kurfürsts (electors, which posessed the right to vote Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire). On the lower level written inscription with the date 1662.
Very careful workmanship, painted on a historical forest-glass replica in Renaissance style. Original technique of cold enamel painting requires many days of highly skilled manual work. Recommended to glass-collectors.
